I’ve traveled to China a couple of times and I have a hard time breathing for the first couple of hours when I get off the plain. Some places are worse than others. The fact that the government didn’t figure out mass transit was a big mistake. The real bad stuff that is referenced in the comic are the by products from all the heavy industries that the world has exported to China. They weight of the world is literally on their shoulders.
